Juanita Beltz Pruitt 95, of Ash, NC, died Monday, April 22, 2024, in McLeod Seacoast Hospital.

Juanita was born on March 6, 1929, in Marion, Ohio to Walter Garfield and Mary Elizabeth Andrews Beltz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Joseph Carl Pruitt, Sr., great-grandson Brayden Duncan and siblings Walter Beltz, Harvey Beltz, Carl Ray Beltz, Emma Miller, Imogene Turner, and Dorothy Ghenco.

Surviving are her children, Joey Pruitt (Annette) of Ash, NC, and Debbie Duncan (Artie) of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; grandson Corey Duncan and fiancé Briley Willetts of Ash, NC; and great grandson John Hunter Willetts; and several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Juanita enjoyed planting her vegetable garden and caring for her irises. She was a faithful member of New Life Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and Treasurer. She loved her Lord and Savior, wanting to serve Him in every way possible. She taught her children to serve the Lord and accept Him as their personal Savior.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 3:00pm in New Life Baptist Church officiated by Reverend William “Bo Bo” Chappell, Reverend Clayton Rivenbark and Reverend Steven Wright. A burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Serving as pallbearers are John Miller, Bob Miller, Kermit Lee Pruitt, John Pruitt, Donald Collier, and Brock Ward. Durant Pruitt will serve as honorary pallbearer.
