Albert Dean Browning

Albert Dean Browning, 81, of Shallotte died November 1, 2024. Born in Puritan Mines, West Virginia, on July 29, 1943, he was a son of the late Dan Browning and Ruby Nicholas Browning. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Belinda Gail Browning, and siblings, Edna Mae Ferrell, Irene Copley and Dan Browning, Jr. He was a Navy Veteran and a retired electrician.

Albert and his first wife, June, were married forty-two years until her death in 2006. Later in 2007, he met Lisa and they have been together since their marriage on April 4, 2014; and those ten years weren’t long enough. Albert’s saying was always, “the first three letters in funeral are fun.”

Albert was a man of any talents: school teacher, pilot, master electrician, avid guitar player, and author (three books). His love for his family was like no other. He was a Christian, and devout believer in God. He loved his whole family and never met a stranger. He had a smile on his face everywhere he went.

Surviving are his wife, Lisa Marie Kennedy Browning; daughter, Beverly Ballou (Aaron); sons, Albert D. Browning, II (Victoria), William Saunders, Waylon Saunders, and Cody Kivett; brothers, Dallas Browning (Rose) and John Browning; sisters, Lorraine Sammons, Billie Jo Maynard (Carl) and Annarose Browning; grandchildren, Zachary Dean Browning, Jordan Nichole Johnson and Abigail Mae Ballou; great grandson, Jeff Nathaniel Johnson; mother-in-law, Sharon Kennedy; sisters-in law, Christene Beck, Melissa Francis, Joyce Parks, Tracy Johnson; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Kennedy, Jr.
