Obituary
Alberta Todd Tatum, 93, of Shallotte died Monday, March 5, 2018. Born in Horry County, SC, on January 18, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Olin Cox and Martha Todd Cox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Hamilton Todd and son Charles Todd. Prior to retirement she was Office Manager for R. D. White & Sons and Town Clerk for the Town of Ocean Isle Beach.
Surviving are daughters, Brenda Grissett (Malcolm) of Ocean Isle Beach and Janice Reaves (DeWayne) of Ash; daughter-in-law, Nancy Todd of Shallotte; sisters, Virginia Williamson of Ocean Isle Beach and Geraldine Bellamy of Atlanta; grandchildren, Tamala Grimes (Roger), Jamey Grissett, Dave Andrews, Todd Andrews (Sue Ellen) and Whitney Corbett (Matthew); great grandchildren, Hayley Grimes, Ethan Andrews, Jared Andrews, Sarah Grissett, Hayden Grimes, Heath Grimes, Alden Corbett, Reice Corbett and Tawny Corbett; and great, great grandchild, Gage Corbett.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Brunswick Funeral Service officiated by The Revs. Rory Thigpen, Landis Lancaster, and Jason L. Benton. Burial will follow in the Gurganus Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM, Wednesday, March 7, at the funeral home.
