Obituary
Allan Earle Remick, 82 of Southport, NC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 14th surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Burlington, VT to the late Earle and Lena Ayer Remick. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Donald H. Remick.
Allan graduated from UVM in 1958 and as a LT served his country in the US Army Corp of Engineers. Following college, he enjoyed a lifetime career as District Engineer for DOT in Vermont. He moved to Cape Cod in 1998, where he married the love of his life, Lynn. They moved to NC in 2015, escaping the winter weather on Cape Cod. Allan will be remembered for his quick wit, love of golf (hole in 1), painting, bowling, good friends, margarita’s, gardening, bocce, and his love for deer hunting at his VT camp. He was a member of the SYUMC, CC Men’s Club, and CC Art Guild.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Lynn, and three children Stephen Remick (Anne) of Dartmouth, MA; Patricia Fisk (Kevin) of Conroe, TX; Scott Remick (Erin) of Conroe, TX; and two stepdaughters Shannon Cerza (Patrick) of Charlotte, NC, Megan O’Bryan (fiance Pablo) of Wilmington, NC, and 10 grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Ocean View UMC with Associate Pastor Rick Russell presiding on Friday, September 14th at 11:00 am.
