It is with deep sadness we share that St Luke Lutheran Church charter member Andy Roseman passed away at home early this morning with his devoted wife, Sherry, at his side.

A native North Carolinian, Andy was a son of Calvin Lee Roseman and Lorene Leslie Roseman. He was born and raised in China Grove, NC. He and Sherry married in August 1965 and moved here from China Grove in 1979. The Roseman’s celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary this past August.

Andy was a Tool & Die Maker until 1980 and then ran Andy’s Condo & Landscaping Service until 2003. During the building of the first church (now the Fellowship Hall), Andy devoted much time and effort to landscaping the building using his company and his employees at his own expense to ensure St. Luke would look its best. With this history, it is no surprise that both his and Sherry’s hobbies are plants and flowers.

The Rosemans, Charter Members of St. Luke, were instrumental in guiding St. Luke to what it has become today. Their efforts culminated in the building of the present sanctuary in 2009. Andy served as a past president of Council. Along with Sherry, he felt the organization of this Church was the most challenging and rewarding project of their careers. When asked what they liked best about their church, they agreed it was indeed the people of St. Luke."

There are too many things to itemize that Andy did for his church and, as a result, his church family.  However, he was instrumental in funding the equipment needed to live-stream St Luke worship services. Even after the pandemic, this enables hundreds of members and visitors alike to virtually attend service.

In addition to his loving wife, Sherry, he is survived by a brother, Clyde Roseman and a sister, Betty Johnson.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, June 3, 2023, at St. Luke Lutheran Church.  You can send condolences to Sherry at 1742 Old Sound Creek Circle SW, Ocean Isle Beach NC 28469.
