Obituary
Anne Lemrise Jones, 82, of Hampstead, formerly of Oak Island went peacefully to her heavenly home on Tuesday evening, August 2, 2016.
She was born April 6, 1934 in New Bedford, MA, a daughter of the late Edward & Jane Ratchford Lemrise. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edward Odell Jones, Sr. & many other loved ones.
Her and her husband worked for many years with the Jones Family Restaurants in Oak Island & Ogden, NC.
Anne's devotion to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family members far and wide was what brought her the most joy in life. Anne was a stay at home mom and when her children were grown she worked at the Brunswick County Tax Office and the Board of Elections. Anne was a gifted reader always with a book in hand.
Surviving children, Ed & (Brenda), Doug & (Debbie), John & (Gina), Debbie & (John), Judy & (Deena). Nana's grandchildren, Megan, Brian, Tommy, Heather, Abby, Travis, Remly & Dylan. Great grandchildren, Hunter, Gavin, Austin, Lil’ Travis, Alexis, Channing and Zach.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2 pm on Friday, August 5th in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, Shallotte.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate contributions to ASAP, (Autism Support & Program), 200 Island Creek Rd., Rocky Point, NC 28457.
