William Arlee Todd, 83, of Shallotte, died Saturday, July 9, 2016 at his home.
He was born on May 3, 1933 in Brunswick County, a son of the late Samuel and Gertrude Stanley Todd.
Mr. Todd was a veteran of the US Army and National Guard. He retired from Sunny Point Military Ocean Terminal as an ass’t Army tug engineer. He was also a mason and a shriner, and a licensed tug boat captain.

Surviving are his wife, of 60 years, Loretta Hewett Todd; son, Mitch Todd, and wife, Phyllis; daughter, Karen Stanley, and husband, Craig, all of Shallotte; five grandchildren, Jeremy, Micah, Savannah, Heather, and Maryann, & five great grandchildren, Kendall & Kara, Sydney, Taylor, and Austin.
Funeral services will be at 3 pm on Monday, July 11th in the Jennies Branch Baptist Church, where he was a faithful member & deacon, by the Rev. Jonathan Shelor & Rev. Jason L. Benton.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors & masonic rites.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Casketbearers will be Jimmy Stanley, Odell Benton, Homer Lyles, Miller Caison, Gene Sellers, & Mack Long.
