Obituary
Basilisa Olmedo-Palacios, 46, of Shallotte, NC passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
Basilisa was born on April 15, 1979, in San Pedro Benito, Mexico and is the daughter of Santos Palacios and Felicitas Martinez Palacios.
In addition to parents, she is survived by her husband, Catalino Olmedo of the home; sons, Charly Olmedo and Allen Olmedo; brothers, Eliseo Palacios, Jose Samuel Palacios, Javier Palacios; sisters, Biviana Palacios, Eunice Palacios, and Melisa Palacios Grisel.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, February 21, 2026, in St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church (5105 Ocean Hwy West, Shallotte, NC 28470) at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens (5229 Ocean Hwy West, Shallotte, NC 28470).
The family will receive friends from 11:00am-1:00pm at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church.
