Betty Bernice “Bunny” Hewett, 73, Ash, NC died December 21, 2022.
Born in Brunswick County on February 25, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Floyd Lee Hewett and Ulysses Robinson Hewett. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Roger Hewett, grandson Austin Hicken, brothers Jeff and Woodrow Hewett and a sister Esther Mae Clemmons.
She was a member of the Shallotte High School Class of 1968. Prior to retirement, she owned and operated Southern Floral and Gifts and Silver Connections Jewelry.
Surviving are her daughter Robin Hicken, Ash, and her grandson and apple of her eye, Tanner Hicken; sister-in-law Anita Jackson (Ellis), Ash; nieces Kayla Smith (Smitty) and Stacy Hewett (Brian), all of Ash; several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Reverend Sammy Jacobs.
Burial will follow in the Gore Cemetery, No. 5 School Road, Ash.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
