Betty Kay Nash, 78, of Shallotte, NC died January 14, 2022.
She was born in Spokane, WA on July 14, 1943 a daughter of the late Stanley C. Genest and Mildred E. Martin Genest. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a daughter, Christina Lynn Nash. She graduated from UNC Charlotte and Summa Cum Laude. She was a retired Middle School Teacher having taught Char-Meck Schools, Indianapolis Public Schools, and Department of Defense Schools in Korea, Singapore American School and St. Maria Gorretti School in Indiana.
She is survived by her husband, Roland H. “Ron” Nash; daughter, Lori Elizabeth Vestal (Kenneth) of Shallotte, NC; sons, Scott Andrew Nash (Annette) of Asheboro, NC, Jeffrey Carl Nash (Lisa) of Cary, IL and Paul Harrison Nash (Rebecca) of Albemarle, NC; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be conducted Friday, January 21, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte, NC. Interment will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
