Betty McLaurin Axsom, 88, of Supply, NC died Friday, March 22, 2024. 

Born in Anson County, NC on July 6, 1935.  She was the daughter of the late Baxter Neil McLaurin and Bessie Garphelia Stubbs McLaurin. 

Betty retired from the Proctor & Gamble Company as the analytical laboratory administrative assistant for quality assurance. She was an active member of Brunswick Islands Baptist Church and the Holden Beach Senior Citizens.

Surviving are daughters Rhona Sherrill (Mike), of Winston Salem and Supply, NC, Susan Morgan (Gerald), of Matthews, NC; sons Brent English, of Boise, ID, Brian Axsom, of Hampstead, NC; sister Dee Caudle, of Tampa FL; brother Ronald McLaurin (Patty), of Pinehurst, NC; grandchildren Griffin, Josie, Ashley, Seth, Maryanne and Joshua; special friends Peggy Rice, of Greensboro, NC ; Barry and Taffy Smith, of Oakboro, NC and Patty Eure of Supply, NC along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 27, 2024, 1:00PM at Brunswick Islands Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.

Burial will be in the Pine Crest Cemetery in Gibson, NC on Wednesday at 4:00PM.
