Obituary
Betty Holden Monteith, age 85, died Monday, June 24, 2024, at her home in Carolina Shores.
Betty was born July 16, 1938, in Transylvania County, NC to Winfred and Nina Chapman Holden.
Betty spent much of her life in Brevard, NC where she was active in Grace Baptist Church as a Sunday School teacher, greeter and part of the shut-in ministry. She loved reading her Bible and knew it well. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading and baking. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters: Jo McCall (Joanne Canina) of Carolina Shores, Sandy Lincoln (Ashby) of Atlanta, GA; 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 AM, July 9, 2024, at Pisgah Gardens 1017 Old Hendersonville Road Brevard, NC 28712.
The family requests donations be made to Goodwill Industries at: Financial Donation - Goodwill Industries International.
