Obituary
Supply, NC---Betty Fox Parks passed peacefully on January 15, 2025 from a brief illness. Born to Paul W. Fox Sr. and Margie Cress Fox in Mooresville, NC, betty attended A.L. Brown High School in Kannapolis, NC.
Betty had a wonderful sense for life and love. She was the bright light in any room and made everyone feel loved and accepted. Her motto: “I want everyone to be happy” she always said with a smile. Betty was an avid artist, chef and gardener. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, cousin, aunt and friend. She was most proud of her two grandsons. Betty was fortunate to live in and experience Miami, Las Vegas, Hawaii, San Diego, and Charlotte with the balance of her life in Supply, NC. She was a generous hostess with a charming personality who always presented herself as a sophisticated southern lady.
Betty’s career included working for automotive manufacturer Collins and Aikman, co-owning a retail store in Charlotte, and representing Lancome Cosmetics, among other endeavors. She retired from Betty Fox Realty. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Paul W. Fox Sr. and Margie Cress Fox of Supply; grandparents Luther Martin Cress and Ida Milam Cress of Holden Beach; her husband Mason Freeman Parks; son Ricky Parks; and brother, Paul W. Fox Jr. She is survived by her son Roddy Mason Parks (Manisha); grandsons Zain Parks and Zarin Parks; nephew, Paul W. Fox III (Scott), all of Raleigh. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Patricia Fox; and niece, Toni Lewis both of Supply.
Special thank you to her life-long friends offered Betty great support throughout her life: Michelle, Andria, Ellen, Buddy, Gail and Ethelene. A very special thank you from the family to Barbara Cress Eller of Supply, who offered great care and support to Betty in her final days. At Betty’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
The world has lost a beautiful ray of sunshine and Betty will forever be missed.
