Obituary
Beulah Neil McCoy, 96, of Shallotte, NC, died June 17, 2023. A Brunswick County Native, she was a daughter of John Bell Stanley and Katherine (Kate) Emma Benton Stanley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell S. McCoy in 2004.
She was a long time active member of Calvary Baptist Church, and most happy when she was doing something for her family and friends, especially cooking. She also enjoyed shopping (mainly for others), traveling and reading.
Surviving are her daughter, Gloria M. Mintz (John) of Shallotte; son, Colin M. McCoy (Penny) of Shallotte; sister, Catherine S. Gates of Shallotte; grandchildren, Keith Brown (Linda) of Albuquerque, NM, Sherman Brown (Theresa) of Littleton, NH, Catheryn Robertson (Kevin) of Shallotte, Jody Grainger (Willie) of Ocean Isle Beach and Daniel McCoy of Supply; great grandchildren, Jason McCoy (Kristen) of Ocean Isle Beach; Megan Horkavy (Tyler) of Benson, Zachary Brown (Jamie) of Searey, AR, Samuel Brown of Pensacola Beach, FL, Rebekah Brown of Pensacola Beach, FL Sarah Brown of Albuquerque, NM, and Mattie Robertson of Shallotte; and great, great grandchildren, Alayna McCoy and Kadence McCoy.
Services will be conducted from the graveside at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, June 21, 2023 in Mintz Cemetery, Shallotte, NC, by The Rev. Rick Carter.
The family would like to offer a special note of gratitude to our wonderful friend, Kimberly Carte. We appreciate everything you did to keep “Granny” comfortable and happy during her last days. You were such a blessing.
