Bobby Oliver Snipes, Sr., 75, of Carolina Shores, NC died August 16, 2017.
He was born March 16, 1942 in Columbus County, the son of the late Howard Forest Snipes and Charity Elmalee Ammons Snipes. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his first wife, Diane Ammons Snipes and the mother of his children.
He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a retired Business Sales Agent with Image Supply Company in Lumberton, NC. Bobby was a former member of the Jaycee and Deacon at Montpelier Presbyterian Church, Wagram, NC. A little league baseball coach and avid Duke fan.
Surviving are his wife, Jean Davis Snipes of the home; son, Bobby O. Snipes, Jr and wife Dawn of Hope Mills, NC; daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Snipes-Brock and husband Patrick of Vass, NC; sister, Linda Carver of Raleigh, NC; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A family celebration of life will be conducted at a later date.
