Brandon William Cheers, 48, of Shallotte, NC died suddenly Sunday, November 17, 2024.

Born in New Hanover County, NC, on November 18, 1975, he was the beloved son of Phillip W. Cheers and Jean Carter Cheers of Shallotte.

Surviving in addition to his parents are; sister Kimberly C. Gales (Henry), of Shallotte, NC; nieces Kourtney Saavedra (Miguel) of Bolivia, NC, Sarah Rasmussen (Cody) of Fort Liberty, NC and nephew Reverend Kevin Gore (Kacey) of Supply, NC; along with four great nieces and a great nephew.

Brandon was very kind hearted, outgoing and loved people. He also loved fishing and being on the water. He greatly enjoyed visiting with his family and friends. He leaves behind his loyal companion of 14 years, Cocoa.

Services will be held at Village Point Methodist Church at Shallotte Point on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 pm with the funeral service beginning at 2 pm. The service will be officiated by the Reverend Shannon Ross and Reverend Richard Stone. A graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill cemetery in Shallotte, following the funeral. Pall bearers will be Miguel Saavedra, Bryan Kocsmar, Tyler Kocsmar, Adan Martinez, Kyle Bias, Richie Caison, Willard Causey and Blake Potter.

Family and friends are being received in the days prior to the funeral service at the residence of his parents.

Contributions to Village Point Methodist Church which was close to his heart are appreciated in lieu of flowers.
