Briana Ambrosia Bryant Brown
Obituary
Briana Ambrosia (Bryant) Brown was born in Supply, North Carolina, on May 23, 1995. She was the first of three daughters born to Kyna Bryant-Hardy. Briana departed this life on February 6, 2026, at her home in Gresham, Oregon.
Briana attended Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church as a young child. On September 10, 2017, she was baptized at Discovery Church in Jacksonville, North Carolina. While living in Oregon, Briana regularly attended church services as her health permitted.
Briana excelled academically, due in part to her love of reading. She attended the Brunswick County Schools and graduated from West Brunswick High School in June 2013. During her school years, she developed a strong passion for service and volunteered with the Teen Court Program.
Briana was a shining light with a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh. She had a gift for finding beauty in everyone she met. This natural gift led her to pursue a career in hairstyling. After graduating from the College of Wilmington in October 2017, she became a licensed cosmetologist and worked for several salons in North Carolina and Seattle, Washington. She was the proud owner of Fringe Salon and she worked with Great Clips and Supercuts franchises, where she built lasting relationships with clients and coworkers alike. Briana took great pride in her work and loved helping others feel confident and beautiful.
As a devoted military wife, Briana had a heart for service. She volunteered with Toys for Tots and provided haircuts for veterans and military personnel whenever she could.
Growing up, Briana played a number of sports, including softball and soccer through Brunswick County Parks and Recreation. She also studied tap and ballet at the Brunswick School of Dance. Some of our fondest memories of Briana include watching her dance on stage with her sister, Gabby, and performing a special father-daughter routine with her beloved grandfather, Philogene Bryant. As she grew older, she could often be found performing in talent shows, choir, showcasing her artwork, competing in Battle of the Books, or spending time with family and friends.
Briana was united in holy matrimony to Cody Matthew Brown on April 8, 2022. From this union, two precious children were born prematurely: a daughter, Annabeth Elizabeth Marie Brown, born on August 12, 2024, and a son, Beau Alexander Brown, born on April 2, 2025. While it was Briana’s greatest desire to be a mother and raise her children, the Lord had a greater plan. Today, we lay Briana to rest with her son and daughter, carrying them in her arms as she did in her heart.
Along with her two children, Briana was preceded in death by her beloved grandfather, Philogene Bryant.
Briana leaves to cherish her loving memory her devoted husband, Cpl. Cody Matthew Brown; her mother, Kyna Bryant-Hardy, and her stepfather, Jim Hardy; her sisters, Gabrielle George and Kennedy Hardy; and her brother, Justin Collier.
She is also survived by her step-sister, Dr. Brandea` Hardie; her step-brother, Randy Jovan Hardie (Alexandra); her grandmother, Sonja Bryant; her parents-in-law, William Brown, Jr. and Amber Vaughn Brown; her sister-in-law, Briana Brown Stephens (Matthew); and her brother-in-law, Eli Brown.
Briana also leaves behind her cherished nieces, Jassica Hardie, Abigail Lynn Stephens, Isabella Rae Stephens, and Harmony Hardie; her nephews, Jacob Hardie and Jream Hendrix McLaughlin-Walker; her aunt, Tannika Stanley Robinson (Dwight); and her uncles, Jeremy Bryant and Troy Bryant (Kristina).
Along with a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, and friends, Briana will be dearly missed by her beloved dog, Miller, and her cat, Tiramisu.
A celebration of Briana’s life will be conducted at 1:00PM on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church, (1229 Cedar Grove Rd SW, Supply, NC 28462). A viewing will be held at 11:30AM at the church.
Interment will follow in the Ophelia Bryant White Family Cemetery, (Ophelia Lane SW, Supply, NC 28462, behind Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church).
