Obituary
CAROL ANN BRAMLEY was welcomed into Heaven to share eternal bliss with God the Father, Jesus Christ our Savior, on September 7, 2021, after a battle with cancer. Carol was born in Bronx, New York, on August 14, 1937, and was preceded in death by her loving parents, Thomas and Eileen Hartnett, her husband Skylar Bramley, and her sister Grace Ann Doolan. She is survived by her brother Brian Hartnett, brother-in-law Martin Doolan, nieces Terry Davis, Jeanne Cunningham, Jennifer Petty, two grandnephews, one grandniece, three stepchildren, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Carol worked as an executive assistant at GE Electric, where she met Sky the love of her life. They married and enjoyed many years traveling and later continued their adventures by settling in North Carolina for retirement. Carol was a loving and devoted “Aunt Carol” to three nieces who loved her dearly. Carol loved the arts and took pleasure in sharing her passion with her nieces during their childhood. She always shared special moments and memories with them like trips to the beach, Broadway performances, or church service at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
Carol will be remembered for her servant heart and loving spirit. God used Carol to come along side many in their journey to find peace. She was a long-time member of Seaside United Methodist Church in Sunset Beach, NC. She was one of the church’s first Stephen Ministers, a member of United Methodist Women; she volunteered at the Welcome Desk on Sundays and volunteered at the receptionist desk during the week. She also was on the church’s newsletter team; she was a long-time member of the Prayer Warriors, and served on the church’s Lay Visitation Ministry.
Her giving heart touched the lives of those friends and family around her and made them better for knowing her. We were blessed to have Carol in our lives and are comforted knowing that she is in a place of eternal happiness and peace.
A Memorial Service will be held on October 11, 2021 at 11:00 am in Brunswick Funeral Service, 5229 Ocean Hwy. W, Shallotte, North Carolina 28470.
