Carol Frances Rogan

Carol Frances Rogan

Carol Frances Rogan, 77, of Carolina Shores died Thursday, June 22, 2017. She was born in Cambridge, MA, on December 6, 1939, and grew up in Medford, MA before moving to Woburn, MA after graduating from high school. She was the daughter of the late Harold Lyons and the late Louella (Lyons) Barbieri. With her shock of pink hair proudly representing her status as a cancer survivor, Carol lived life to its fullest…whether exercising at the gym, cruising in her bright red mustang (with the top down), shopping with her best friend Phyllis, or playing a mean game of bridge! Most importantly, she was a great mom and great wife, always placing the needs of her family above her own. Carol also loved to socialize! Being so naturally giving and generous, she was a close friend to everyone who knew her, whether skiing, camping, or just dining and chit-chatting with friends. Carol greatly enjoyed ocean cruises and long road trips “up north” with her husband Richard and Phyllis, visiting family and friends. She also loved her many pets through the years, especially her last dog…Lucky!

Surviving are her husband Richard Rogan; daughter, Jeanette Johnson and her husband Paul; sons, James Rogan and his wife Joanne, Bob Rogan and his wife Nancy, and John Rogan; sisters, Patricia Wilson and Joan McDonough; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be conducted at 10:00 AM at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church on Thursday, June 29, 2017.

The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 PM on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte.

Interment will be in Brunswick Memorial Gardens, Shallotte.
