Carolyn "Carol" Stanley Foley

Carolyn Stanley Foley, age 85, passed away on Saturday, August 13th. She was affectionally known by everyone as Carol.

Carol was born in Albertville, Alabama, on January 9th, 1937.

Carol spent most of her working career in the mortgage banking field. She was one of the first female vice presidents with Cameron Brown in Columbia, SC.

Carol and her husband Hal loved the beach. They bought a vacation home in Ocean Isle in 1984 and built a new home there when they retired. During retirement Carol enjoyed many activities including arts and crafts of all kinds. She was a member of St James Episcopal Church and enjoyed volunteering in church activities. Carol was an avid Bridge player and attained the ranking of Ruby Life Master. She also enjoyed trips to the Casinos with friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband Harold H. {Hal} Foley and her son Robert Neal {Bobby} Foley.

Surviving are her children John {Joanne} Foley and Susan Racher and two grand children Caroline Turak and Matt Racher.

Her family will receive friends at the Brunswick Funeral Home from 6-8 PM on Friday, August 19th. Her funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM on Saturday August 20th at St James Episcopal Church
