Carolyn Hames Pendergrass, 93 of Sunset Beach, NC died September 5, 2022.
She was born in Rutherford County, NC on January 9, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Steadman Hames and Virdie Mae Wilson Hames. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, George Robert Pendergrass.
She was a retired public-school teacher and Librarian and in 1978, the Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, Chapter #124, Catawba, NC.
Surviving is her son, Steven Pendergrass (Renée) of Sunset Beach, NC; granddaughter, Kaleigh Osborn (Garrett) and three great grandchildren, Greyson, Chad, and Easton.
A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 1st, 2022, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church located at 3216 West Main Street, Claremont, North Carolina 28610.
