Catherine Mary Newman, 88, of Carolina Shores, NC died November 10, 2021.
Born in Manhattan, NY on August 17, 1933 she was a daughter of the late Daniel Francis Murphy and Mary Nora Casey Murphy. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by siblings, Daniel Murphy and Mary Murphy.
Surviving are her sons, Thomas Newman (Anne) of Carolina Shores, NC and Daniel Newman (Linda) of Clearwater, FL; brother, Michael Joseph Murphy of Monroe, NY; sisters, Peggy Swed of Oakland, NY and Johanna Murphy of Wilmington, NC; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 10:00 am in St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, Shallotte, NC
Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte.
