Obituary
Charles Earl Robinson of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina died March 21, 2018 at the age of 80.
Charles was born in Malvern, Iowa on February 8, 1938 to the late Francis Henry Robinson and Hazel Leggett Robinson. Know to his friends as “Chuck” or “Robbie”, he served in the U.S. Army and then became a Maryland State Trooper. Later, he worked in the truck insurance industry as a safety specialist. For many years, Chuck lived in Cape St. Claire, Maryland where he was a coach for youth basketball, baseball, and soccer teams. After retirement, he loved walking on the beach at Ocean Isle and showing others the tricks of shell hunting. He also took long bike rides on the island, making many friends along the way.
Chuck was a member of the Maryland State Police Alumni Association, the 508th Military Police Alumni Association, the Fraternal Order Police, and the Retired & Disabled Police of America.
In addition to his parents, he is also predeceased by a brother, Francis Richard Robinson, and a sister, Patricia Kury.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 54 years, Jacqueline "Jackie" Robinson; his son, Michael Robinson and daughter-in-law Emily Robinson, Forest, VA; brother, Lawrence Robinson, Salisbury, MD; sister, Jane Lind, Indianapolis, IN; and grandchildren, Tiffany Nielsen and Parker Robinson.
