Cindy Inman Hughes

Cindy Inman Hughes, 64, of Ash left this earthly realm on February 25, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Boyd Inman and Alta Mae Inman, of Ash, who survives.

Over the past nine months, she courageously battled glioblastoma, a very aggressive brain cancer. Dauntless in her faith, she never showed any sadness or fear. Comforted by her faith in God, she was greatly loved and will be missed by many. Cindy enjoyed fishing and crafting. She was a very active member of New Britton Baptist Church, singing in the choir, and the Sunshine Sisters.

She was employed by Sunset Vacations for many years.

When others would have broken, Cindy stayed strong. Kenny, her loving husband of forty-six years, was by her side every hour of the day and night. A devoted mother, she raised two sons, Jonathan Neal Hughes of Ash and Jared Chad (Annalorel) of Shallotte. She was a beloved grandmother to Alexander Seth Hughes and Ronan Stonewall Hughes, both of Shallotte.

She is also survived by her siblings, Pam Smith (Sammy); Lynn Inman (Diane), Wade Inman (Valecia) all of Ash; niece, Jessica Inman; nephews, Jason Inman (Jessica), Wesley Inman (Jessica), and Justin Inman (Laura); several great nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Hughes; and sister-in-law, Carla Genise Hughes of Sunset Beach.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 2, 2025 at New Britton Baptist Church, Ash, NC, by The Rev. Sterling Sarvis. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM at the church. Interment will follow in the Coleman Family Cemetery, Highway 130, Ash, NC.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to New Britton Baptist Church.
