Obituary
Cindy Linker, 71, of Ash died Thursday, January 23, 2025 after a brief illness. She was born in Biscoe, North Carolina on November 19, 1953, a daughter of the late William Reid Lambert and Pattie Lucille Hurley Lambert, who survives. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarah L. Carter.
Cindy, a special breed of human, was born with an affinity and love for creatures. She cherished animals who knew and trusted her with a bond that transcended simple affection. Her caring, compassionate, and selfless nature extended to all animals, but especially to the dogs she trained to assist humans with disabilities.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her loving husband of thirty years, James Clark, “J.C.” Linker; son, Lonnie Linker, daughters, Tonya Carter (Jeff), and Sonya Long (Chase); grandchildren, Heather (Beef), Jesse (Kenny) Sami (Hayden) and Eli; great grandchildren, Sincere, Wesson, Walker, Raelyn, and Judson.
Services will be conducted at the graveside on the family farm at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 28, 2025 by
The Reverend John Bracey.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte Chapel.
