Claude “Thomas” Carver, 75, of Mebane, NC, died November 18, 2021. He was a son of Gattis Carver and Pearl Thomas Carver, and grew up in Prospect Hill, NC. He graduated from Prospect Hill High School in 1964. He was employed at IBM for forty-six years, and was able to travel to England for work often. He planned yearly luncheons for all the IBM retirees every year after his retirement. Tom was a true community servant who truly cared for people and exemplified his compassion on mission trips to Haiti and West Virginia. He was a dedicated community volunteer known as the go-to-person in his townhome community. He played sports most his life, was a Mason, avid golfer and sports fan, especially for Carolina Basket Ball. Toms’ life was one of accomplishments and achievements, but nothing brought him greater joy than his family. In addition to his daughter Amy Ibrahim, he is survived by Amy’s husband, Adam, and his granddaughter, Emily Ibrahim. Also surviving are his brother, Donald Carver (Lois); sisters, Edith Myers and Gale Kirby (Coy); and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at a time to be announced in Prospect Hill, North Carolina.
