Obituary
Dale Eric Bergstrom, 72, of Shallotte, NC, died April 16, 2021. Born in New Britain, CT, on October 16, 1948, he was the son of the late Walter Bergstrom and Barbara Steed Bergstrom. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Cara Harwood.
He was a United States Navy Veteran Serving on the USS Enterprise during Vietnam and a retired Licensed Nuclear Power Operator / Fuel Handler at Millstone Power Station. He was a founding member of the Rivers Edge Veterans Association (REVA) as well as an active member of the Rivers Edge men’s golf group.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth “Betsy” Worthington Bergstrom; son, Eric Bergstrom and his wife Angela, and grandchildren, Angelina, Joshua, and Andrew of Waterford, CT; sister, Kristine “Kris” Hoffman and husband Mark, New Britain, CT; and Nieces & Nephews, Kirsten Hoffman, Courtney MacDonald, Allison Skubel, William Harwood, and Jeffery, Michael, Christopher Hughston
A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will begin at 2:30 PM, Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte, and continue with a reception for family and friends at Rivers Edge Clubhouse.
A Celebration of Life will begin at 5:00 PM, Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Langley's at Great Neck Country Club, 28 Lamphere Rd, Waterford, CT. Casual attire welcomed.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be directed to the Rivers Edge Veterans Association, to Nick Micale, 495 Laurel Valley Dr. Shallotte, NC 28470
