Obituary
Daniel “Danny” Ray Leonard, age 70, of Tarpon Springs, FL formerly of Shallotte Point Area passed away on Wednesday March 31, 2021 at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick Bolivia, NC .
He was born in Wilmington, NC on September 19, 1950 the son of the late Maxton Elroy Leonard and Earle Marie Hewett Leonard. He was preceded in death by a son, Shannon Leonard and a sister, Janice Marie Leonard.
Danny was a graduate of Shallotte High School and UNC Chapel Hill. He was former owner and operator of Leonard and Sons Seafood Company in Tarpon Springs, FL.
Surviving are two sons, Chance Leonard and wife, Michelle of Hopedale, MA and Duran Leonard and wife, Bethel of Tarpon Springs, FL; a brother Don Leonard of Calabash, NC; grandchildren, Kaylee, Cole, Ashlyn, Addis, Ava and Desta.
Graveside service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Saturday April 3, 2021 by The Reverend Jason L. Benton officiating in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
