Danny Kimble Hewett, Sr. of Ash, NC, died October 19, 2026. He was born in Columbus County, NC, on June 8,1944, a son of Rifton and Sallie Verbee Andrews Hewett and a grandson of Blanche Andrews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Hughes Hewett, his son, Danny K. Hewett, Jr., and his sister, Donita Taylor.
He was a retired Commercial Fisherman.
Surviving are his son Joseph Scott Hewett; his grandsons, Ryan Hewett (Jennifer) and Jake Hewett (Dorie); and two great great grandsons.
Private burial will be in the Coleman Cemetery.
