Danny Wayne Gales, 78, Shallotte, NC died on November 11, 2020.
Born in Brunswick County, NC on August 26, 1942, he was a son of the late Dannie Washington Gales and Elvie Eula Blanton Gales. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Alton and Franklin Gales and a sister, Iris Smith.
Wayne was a man of many talents having been a farmer, dredge boat leverman, a welder, avid gardener, and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Patricia Woodard Gales; son, Keith Gales (Christy), Calabash, NC; daughters, Jessica Carr (Mike), Calabash, NC and Tiffany Shearon (Robbie), Supply, NC; brother, David Gales (Debbie), Shallotte, NC; sisters, Jackie Little (Brady), Ash, NC, Edna Gray (David), Shallotte, NC and Shirley Hewett, Supply, NC; grandchildren, Ashley Ellington, Shay Gales, Savannah Shearon, Cody Gales, and Alyssa Mankin; five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in United Vision Pentecostal Church by the Rev. Maurice Milligan and the Rev. Landis Lancaster. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Social distancing and masks will be observed.
