Obituary
Deborah Anne Lessner, 65, of Shallotte passed away on May 5, 2017. She was born November 4, 1951, in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of Michael Balog and Pauline Danko Balog. She graduated from Bishop Boyle High School in Pittsburg in 1969 and attended Robert Morse College. She was employed by the Visitor’s Bureau in Wilmington, NC and the New Hanover County Board of Education prior to her illness. Debbie had a green thumb and spent many happy hours gardening. Her two feline friends, Patches and Sassy preceded her in death.
Surviving are her loving husband, Arthur L. Lessner; brother, Michael Balog (Dolly); sisters, Betty Hess, Paulette Balog and Shelly Livingston (Denny); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted in her hometown of Pittsburg, PA, at a later date.
