Deborah Juanita Henley (Norwood), 71, of Calabash, North Carolina, passed away on February 4, 2025, in Little River, South Carolina.
Born on January 25, 1954, in Altamont Tennessee, Deborah lived a life marked by warmth and kindness. She was known for her caring nature and the way she welcomed everyone she met with open arms. Her generosity and loving spirit left a lasting impression on those around her. She was an avid reader and crafter. Deborah was a great cook and was known for her chicken bog, cornbread, and pies.
Deborah is survived by her husband, Pat Henley; her children, Steven Guess (Maria) and Jessica Thomaswick (Brett); her step-children Michele Mitchell, Alynn Lassiter (Adam), Aaron Henley; and her grandchildren, Zak Guess, Robbie Guess, Hunter Guess, Zora Thomaswick, Kaid Mitchell, Hailee Mitchell, Brody Lassiter, and Jackson Lassiter. She also leaves behind Brenda Guess, Rob and Ann Henley, Tony and Kayla Parrinello, Madison Parrinello, Anthony Parrinello, and Landon Liebfreid.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry Guess; her sons Jeff Guess and Shayne Guess; her parents, Leona Edwards and Carl Pete Norwood Sr.; her sisters Shirley Condra, Betty Jean Modena, Marie Ladd, and Mary Hughes; and her brothers Carl Pete Norwood Jr. and Tim Tate
Deborah's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
