Delma Leo Peters

Delma passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Lower Cape Fear Life Care following a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

He was born June 2, 1941 in White Oak, NC to the late GN Peters and Saraetta Peters. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 brothers. Joe Peters, Roland Peters, and Rufus Peters

Delma served in the United States Air Force as an Air Police from 1960 to 1964. He was a retired businessman having been in Banking and Automotive Sales and Service.

He was a devoted lifelong member of the Church of God of Prophecy where he held numerous positions and served as a Deacon for many years. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Peters; children, Kevin (Angie) Peters and Gina (Richard) Stanley; grandchildren, Kelly (Travis) Dowda, Kyle Peters, Maegan (Guillermo Amaya) Stanley, Kinley Peters, Ryne (Taylor) Stanley and MacKenzie Stanley; great grandchildren, Rosey, Rimey and Rocky Dowda, Evan and Mateo Amaya, Darla Killian; brothers, Maylan (Barbara) Peters, Claude (Ruth Ann) Peters and many nieces and nephews. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

We appreciate the love and care given to him and our family by Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center all the Doctors, Nurses and Aids were amazing.

A Celebration of his Life will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 pm November 24th, 2021 at Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel with The Rev. Bill Vines and The Rev. Mark Vann. The family will receive friends and visitors from 6-8 pm on Tuesday November 23rd, 2021 at Brunswick Funeral Service 5229 Ocean Hwy W Shallotte, NC. Burial will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.

Pall Bearers will be Ryne Stanley, Guillermo Amaya, Gary Peters, Gregg Peters, Michael Peters, Darren Whitehead and Chris Moore.
