Donald Guido Casalini

Donald Guido Casalini, age 86, died Monday, March 11, 2024, at McLeod Seacoast Hospital in Little River, SC.

Donald was born on May 28, 1937, in Logansport, IN, to Guido and Mary Donato Casalini.

Donald owned a Fleet Service in Florida for many years, traveled in retirement and settled in Sunset Beach, NC where he was involved with Island Seafood Company. Donald was also known as “Papa Don” to many, loved to cook and was renowned for his Italian meals, meatballs, sausage, and his Key Lime Pies. He will always be remembered for his contagious smile and his ability to make an impact on anyone he came in contact with.

Donald is survived by his wife of 31 years: Cathey Peeler Casalini, daughter: Theresa Runge (Scott) of Hastings, MI; son: Richard Craft (Amanda) of Calabash, NC, daughter in law: Dawn Casalini of Lewisville, TX; 6 siblings: sisters: Patricia Byers of Osgood, IN, Sophie Rogers (Jamie) of Logansport, IN; Mary Ann Kelly of Komoto, IN; brothers: Tom Casalini of Zionsville, IN; Ernie Casalini (Sue) of The Villages , Fl; Joe Casalini of Logansport, IN; grandchildren: Zachary Runge (Shelby) of Hastings, MI; Stephanie Runge(Derek) of Grand Rapids MI; Ashley Garcia (Bryan) of Savannah, GA; Brittany Casalini of Lewisville, TX; Cameron Casalini (Stephanie) of Lewisville , TX; Chad Casalini of Phoenix, AZ; Dylan Craft (Laura) of Cherryville, NC; Macie Hipps (Chris) of Shallotte, NC; great-grandchildren: Clayson and Addison Runge; Beau Garcia; Rylan Casalini; Falcon Casalini; Levi Hipps and Fisher Craft.

In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by a son: Donald Bradley Casalini.

A drop in celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 2-5 PM at the Free Spirit Conservatory of the Arts, 8840 Old Georgetown Rd SW, Sunset Beach, NC and there will be food for anyone desiring to eat.
