Obituary
Donald Howard “Don” Kennedy, age 81, of Bolivia, NC died on January 1, 2024, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington.
Don was born on June 24, 1942, in Lynwood, CA to Joseph and Leota Bailey Kennedy.
Don spent his career helping the public of Santa Ana, CA, as an EMT, fireman and retired as a Fire Captain. He served that community for 42 years.
Don enjoyed life, was quick with a joke and was the greatest grandpa! He and his wife Colleen made a wonderful life in California and have done the same after moving to Bolivia a few years ago.
The Memorial Service will be at 1:30 PM, Sunday January 14, 2024, in the chapel of Brunswick Funeral Service, 3479 Southport Supply Road Bolivia, NC with the Rev. Joe Eynon officiating. A Reception and Celebration of Life will be held after the service at the Winding River POC from 3 to 5 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Don to the American Center for Law and Justice aclj.org or to the donor’s choice.
