Donald Ray Sykes, age 83, of Southport, North Carolina, passed away on Monday March 11, 2019, at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick in Bolivia, North Carolina.
He was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, March 1, 1936 a son of the late, Walter Carl Sykes and Annie Mae Gannell Sykes
Mr. Sykes was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Surviving are his wife, Victoria Rose Sykes of the home; three sons Ray Sykes of Bolivia, Joseph Scoggins of Myrtle Beach, SC and Vincent Rose of Leland; two daughters Kathryn Gimbel Oregon and Jodi Rose of Hampstead, NC; a brother, Walter Irvin Sykes; and several grandchildren.
Services will be held at a later date.
