Dorothy Allen Worth, 89, of Ash, NC died Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
Born in Horry County, SC on October 20, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Bert and Neattie Allen. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Randall “Randy” Worth, son Mark Worth, Sr., granddaughters Jessica Best and Shae Horton and a grandson Mark Worth, Jr.
She was formerly a member of the Kingsway Gospel Quartet, past member of the Brunswick County Board of Education, past member of Board of Directors, Brunswick County Rehab and Recovery, and was active in the Brunswick County Senior Citizens Group.
Surviving are sons Gary Bennett (Vivian Sue), of Ash, NC, Tim Bennett (Nancy), of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Willie Randall Worth, of Currie, NC; daughter Sandi Worth Best (Ricky), Mt. Olive, NC; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00pm on Sunday, August 27, 2023, in the chapel of Brunswick Funeral Service officiated by the Rev. Phil Norris. The burial will be private.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
