Dorothy E. Blaich, a resident of Sunset Beach, NC passed away on May 19, 2018 after a nine year battle with lung cancer. She is the daughter of the late William and Florence Schmid of Queens, NY. She married William P. Blaich of Staten Island in December, 1970, and lived in Staten Island NY for the next 35 years. She is the mother of Peter Blaich, Christopher Blaich, Matthew Blaich and Ellen Galuris. She is the grandmother of 9 grandchildren. She gave up here career as a TWA Flight Stewardess to become a wife, homemaker and especially a mom – a title she loved. After leaving Staten Island in 2005, she became a snow bird splitting her time between Eldred, NY and Sunset Beach NC where she finally settled.
