Dorothy Frances Ellis Crowthers, age 77, died Monday, August 28, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
Dorothy was born, April 13, 1946, to Joseph Patrick and Katherine Hayes Ellis, in Lynn, MA.
She spent her early life in the Boston, MA area. She worked as a flight attendant with American Airlines, as the Catering Director for Holiday Inn in Crystal Lake, IL, as a sales associate for Del Webb Realty of Huntley, IL. She retired in 1998 and settled in Sunset Beach, NC.
She is survived by her husband: Carl M. Crowthers; son: Ryan Crowthers of Little River, NC; sisters: Maryanne Giles and Kathy Ellis and one brother: Michael Ellis.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at the Pink Palace at Sea Trail, Sunset Beach, NC, next Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org/donate.
