Obituary
Dr. Robert Hugh Sellers, 91, of Sunset Beach NC died on August 14, 2018. Born in Shallotte NC on May 16, 1927, he was the son of the late William Beamon Sellers and Sarah Chadwick Sellers. In addition to his parents, a brother, William Talmadge Sellers and Nephew Roland Chadwick Sellers, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his sister Carol Sellers Bellamy; Nieces, Sarah Yates, Elizabeth All and Husband Raymond All; Nephews, Clinton Stanland, William Sellers Jr. and wife Beth Sellers; Cousin, Mary Griffith; Great-Nephews, Glen Williamson III and wife Jennifer Williamson, Jackson All, Jones All, Steve Sellers; Great Niece, Claire Sellers.
Dr. Sellers was a devoted servant in the education of children here in Shallotte as well as around the world. As a World War II veteran, Dr. Sellers served in the United States Army. He was a graduate of Presbyterian College in Clinton SC and The International University of Japan where he received his doctoral degree in Educational Administration. He was a teacher in Fulda Germany later becoming an Administrator in the American Schools in Hokkaido Japan. Dr. Sellers retired from Brunswick Co. Schools.
A graveside service will be held on Friday August 17 at 10:00 am at Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
