Obituary
Edward Francis Dowling, 89, of Carolina Shores, NC passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026.
Edward was born in The Bronx NY on June 7, 1936, and a son of the late Joseph Dowling and Anastasia O’Keefe Dowling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Vaccarino Dowling.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served his country with pride and respect. Had a long-distinguished career at Con Edison Utility of New York. His dream of retirement to Coastal NC was realized in 1991. Eddie had the God-given gift of having every person, he met feel they’d known him for a lifetime. His entire family applauds him on a life well lived.
Edward is survived by his brothers, Joe Dowling (Nancy) of NC and Jack Dowling (Cathy) of NJ. Numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
There will be no local services.
The family is being served by Brunswick Funeral Service Shallotte, NC.
