Obituary
Edward Ragland Thomas, III, 73, died, February 13, 2018. He was born in Roxboro, NC, on June 9, 1944, a son of the late Phillip Langston Thomas and Rose Frasier Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Phillip L. Thomas, Jr. and his sister, Jane Hedgepeth. He was a retired Pharmacist and former owner of Thomas Drugs in Shallotte, Thomas Drugs in Oak Island and Seashore Drugs in Calabash. He was a member of Shallotte Masonic Lodge #727, Wilmington Consistory Scottish Rite and the Sudan Temple.
Surviving are his son, Edward R. Thomas IV (Natasha ) of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughters, Elizabeth Thomas Lewis (T. J.) and Hope Elaine Thomas, both of Shallotte; sister, Billie Miller Thomas of Yorktown, VA; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 17, 2018, from the graveside in St. James Episcopal Church Cemetery.
