Obituary
Effie Mae Williams, 76, passed away on October 1, 2019 at the home of her daughter. She was born in Duplin County, NC, on June 1, 1943, a daughter of Rufus Robert Best and Betty Aman Best. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Rudolph, Harold, Ray and Rufus.
She enjoyed playing scrabble, listening to Elvis, and Thanksgiving, but her real joy was her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughter, Lisa White (William) of Ash; son, Milton Williams of Mt. Olive; sister, Hilda Kornegay of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Patrick Holloman, Monica White, and Hannah White; and great grandchildren, Brooks Holloman, Bryce Holloman, Liam Knight, and Persephone White.
