Obituary
Elaine Marie Holenko, age 81 of Carolina Shores, NC, formerly of Denville, NJ, passed away on January 13, 2021 at her home under the care of Hospice, surrounded by loved ones.
Elaine was born on August 5, 1939 to Filomena and Vincent Marchese in Newark, NJ. She and her husband, Alex A. Holenko, were married for 59 years and raised a beautiful family during their years in New Jersey. Elaine was passionate about books and loved her time working in the library of Farleigh Dickinson University.
Elaine is survived by her brother, Robert Marchese (Helene), her children, John, Lisa (Doug), & Alex (Monique), her grandchildren, Valerie, Althea, Jeni, Jeremy, & Morgan, as well as nieces, nephews, other family members, and a lifetime of friends.
Donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital made in her honor would be gratefully accepted. She was a lifelong supporter.
