Obituary
Eleanor Frances Detoro “Ellie” Holmes, age 85, died peacefully at her home on January 8, 2024.
She was born August 24, 1938, in Bridgeport, CT to Anthony and Marion Pickett Detoro.
Ellie was a wonderful, loving lady. She had worked with Sikorsky Aircraft and Ribbon and Lace Flea Market. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
Ellie is survived by her husband of 35 years: Sherlock Paul Holmes, daughter: Marianne Saucier (Alan), stepdaughters: Lisa Byler, Christine Griffin; one brother: Anthony Detoro; one sister: Barbara Evans; one grandchild: Maxwell Saucier and one step-grandchild: Bryant Griffin. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Patricia Beach.
The Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, Shallotte.
