Supply, NC—A memorial service for Margaret “Eloise” Bellamy Gibson, 91, of Supply, NC will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in Silent Grove Cemetery, 1763 Holden Beach Road SW, Supply, NC 28462. Brian Clemmons, Pastor of Boone’s Neck Baptist Church, will officiate. Brunswick Funeral Service, 5229 Ocean Highway W., Shallotte, NC 28470 oversees North Carolina arrangements.

Eloise was born on September 3, 1926, in Brunswick County, NC and passed away on August 23, 2018, at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, SC. She was the daughter of the late William E. Bellamy, Sr., and Ava Gray Bellamy.

Eloise worked from 1958-1987 in the banking industry for Citizens and Southern National Bank (CNS) in Columbia, SC rising to Vice President of Banking upon her retirement. In addition to her duties at C&S Bank, Eloise also held the position of President of the Columbia, SC chapter of Altrusa, an organization that represents professional women; two (2) term President of the South Carolina Arthritis Foundation; and held various leadership positions within several civic organizations in Columbia, SC.

Survivors include; son, William R. Gibson, III (Angell) of Chapin, SC; grandchildren, Aaron Gibson (Amanda), Emily Gibson, and Justin Gibson of Supply, NC, Ryan Gibson of Seattle, WA and Virginia “Ginni” Wilkerson (Wesley) of Little Mountain, SC; great-grandchildren, Makai and Nolan Gibson, of Supply, NC; and sister-in-law, Iris Bellamy of Supply, NC. Also surviving are multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Eloise was predeceased by her son, Timothy Gibson; brothers, Earl Bellamy, Hubert Bellamy, Rodrick Bellamy, Kenneth “KT” Bellamy, Maitland Bellamy, and Robert “Bunky” Bellamy; and sister, Frances Bellamy.

In keeping with Eloise’s spirit of giving, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your local animal rescue organization
