Obituary
Emma Grace Morgan Jones, 65, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Holden Beach, Friday Morning, January 8, 2021. Born October 24, 1955 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Coy Ray and Cora Ruth Wilhelm Morgan. A graduate of South Rowan High School, she worked in food service and at Freightliner as a materials handler. She was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Perry Morgan and step-son, Mark Jones. Family members left with cherished memories include her husband Tom Jones; her daughter, Amanda Weaver Hans and husband, Bill of Boone, NC: step-daughters Wendy Grimes (Jeff) of Salisbury, Lisa Stiller (Robby) of New London, and Gina Bumgarner (Speedy) of China Grove; brother, Joel Morgan (Cynthia), Sunset Beach; her sister, Alice Weddington (John), of China Grove; and her grandchildren Vivian Hans, Zachary Grimes, Jacob Grimes, Ashton Pryor, David Pryor, Garrison Jones and Daniel Jones.
Due to Covid, a family memorial service will be held at a later date.
