Obituary
Erdeen Grissett Zimmerlee, 78, of Carolina Shores, NC, died November 11, 2021.
Born in Horry County, SC, on February 17, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Norman H. Grissett and Edith Mintz Grissett. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Emily Rose, and a daughter-in-law, Kelly Chestnut.
Erdeen grew up locally in Grissettown and was a 1960 graduate of Shallotte High School. She was a retired Certified Public Accountant after having worked as an accountant for several major companies in Alexandria, Virginia. She retired from her private practice in 2008. She was an active member of Seaside United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, James “Ed” Edward Zimmerlee; sons, James N. Chestnut (Patty), Holden Beach, NC, Christopher W. Chestnut (Teresa), Sumter, SC and Jonathan Paul Chestnut (Wendy), Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren, Alex, Toma, James, Danny, Lillian Chestnut, Tracy Hall (Miles), Kyndall Beach (Eric), Kelly Bergeron (Jacob) and Chad Temples; great grandchildren, Grant, Sullivan, Millie and Juliet Hall, Elle Beach and Jack Bergeron; sister, Cheryl Bennett (Eddie), Calabash; and several nieces.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted Saturday, November 27, 2021, at 11:00 AM in Seaside United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Mintz Cemetery.
