Ervin Dale Simmons, 59 of Ash, NC died January 24, 2022.
He was born in Columbus County on January 23, 1963 he was a son of Hattie Louise Long Simmons and the late John Martin Simmons. In addition to his father he was predeceased by a son, Christopher Anthony Joyner. He was a crane operator and an active member of Soldier Bay Baptist Church where he participated in the church Brotherhood.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his son, Ervin Dale Simmons, Jr. of Austin, TX; daughters, Brittany Elizabeth Shulman (Joe) of Minnesota, Gina Simmons of Pembroke, NC and Victoria Rose Haney of Carolina Shores, NC; brothers, Eric Simmons (Tina) of Ash, NC and Tommy Simmons (Fiancée, Rita Reeves) of Whiteville, NC; sister, Paula Babson of Ash, NC and four grandchildren.
Funeral service will be conducted Friday, January 28, 2022, at 11:00 am at Soldier Bay Baptist Church officiated by The Reverend Jason L. Benton and The Reverend Zachary Canady. Burial will follow in New Britton Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
