Obituary
Etha Yvonne “Scruchy” Ward, age 72, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC went home to be with the Lord on Sunday December 20, 2020.
She was born on July 30, 1948 the daughter of the late Barney Ludlum and Dora Mae Hughes and was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Yvonne Ward.
Mrs. Ward was a longtime member of Ocean View Baptist Church. Her love was serving the Lord and her family. She will be greatly missed and her memory will be cherished.
Surviving are her loving family, her husband of 56 years, JC Ward of the home; a son, Tony Ward and wife, Shonda of Ash, NC; four sisters, Frances Grissett and husband, Kenneth, Mavis Anderson, Jean Everest and husband, Glenn and Janice Morgan and husband, James; two grandchildren, Makayla Ree Roberts and husband, Ian and Curtis Monroe Ward and wife, Raven; a great-grandson, Ryan Curtis Ward; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be conducted 3:00 PM Sunday December 27, 2020 at Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte Chapel by Reverend Jason L. Benton and Reverend Larry Melton officiating. Burial will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
A time of Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Saturday December 26, 2020 at Brunswick Funeral Service.
